When the idea of this piece came to me, I grossly underestimated the amount of time it would take to complete it. Upon beginning I realized I didn’t have a ruler, so I used two shelves instead. The piece took 13 hours and includes over 4,000 dots and over 10,000 lines.

When I was younger, readablity and legibility were not strong tennants of my handwriting, my letters tended to run together. Now I write in all caps and draw better letters. I sketched a capital “R” on a scrap of paper and decided to redraw it with swashes aplenty.

This poster was inspired by the opening lyrics to Interpol’s song, Public Pervert, off of their album, Antics. A few images of water were composited to reach the desired look and contrast. Large atmospheric clouds were included to give a whimsical feel to the poster. The plane was included to allude to the next lyrics in the song. View full poster here.

This poster was inspired by Donald Glover’s debut hip-hop album: Camp. The yellow-orange color used is the color fall leaves. With the context of the color of the poster and the name of the album the typeface is remniscent of leaves. Camp related icons are used to accent the poster and Donald Glover’s iconic glasses are used to personify the “O” in token. View full poster here.
